Teaching Surveys Will be Open Nov. 20 to Dec. 10
The Teaching Survey period begins on Nov. 20, and surveys will run through Dec. 10.
Before the survey period begins, here is a to-do list for instructors to help you set up your surveys, and maximize response rates from your students.
Before Nov. 19:
- First, make sure you visit the Teaching Survey Dashboard to verify that a survey is activated for your course(s), as well as customize your survey(s).
- Refer to our instructions for adding custom questions and browse our question library for examples.
- Now is a great time to begin discussing with students why their feedback is important and how it’s used.
- Share some tips [PDF – 61KB] with students for giving meaningful feedback.
- Prepare an announcement to post in Canvas and include:
- A link to our video about giving unbiased and constructive feedback.
- A unique QR code that will take students directly to your survey.
