Request a Midterm Survey for Your Course Starting Jan. 22
Starting Jan. 22, faculty can go to the Teaching Survey Dashboard to request a midterm course survey. The deadline to request is Feb. 26.
Midterm surveys are a formative tool that provide information about students’ learning experiences while there’s time to make immediate improvements. They model reflective practice and show students you’re genuinely concerned about their learning experience.
Students can practice giving meaningful feedback and are more likely to respond to end-of-term Teaching Surveys.
In spring 2023, response rates to Teaching Surveys for faculty who used the OMET midterm option were 7% higher than average.

- Share feedback with students, highlight what’s working, clarify expectations, and talk about changes that can or cannot be made.
- Use our Faculty Reflection on Student Feedback Worksheet to record summaries of student feedback, actions, and outcomes.
