Instructions for Requesting an OMET Pre-course Survey

  • You may choose to write your own survey questions or apply the standard OMET question set (faculty choosing the OMET question set will still be able to add custom questions.)
  • Publish your request and receive an automated email the next day inviting you to write your questions or add questions to the standard set.

How to request a pre-course survey

Go to the Teaching Survey Dashboard.

The option to request will appear under tasks.

Click on the task and a list of your classes will appear.

Click on the Edit button to display field options. The Screenshot of the "incomplete" message on the Teaching Survey Dashboard. symbol will be displayed until you select “yes.” The pre-course survey selection field is mandatory. You will not be able to submit your request unless these this selection is made and saved.

Use the drop-down option to select “yes” under pre-course survey.

Choose your Questions: OMET PC Question Set will appear as the default. You may choose to “Write my own.”

IMPORTANT: If you choose “Write my own,” you must add questions to the survey. No questions will be automatically applied. You’ll receive an email notification when the option to write in your questions is open. You MUST save your changes.


IMPORTANT: It is important to Save any changes you’ve made.
