How to Review Your Profile and User Settings in Canvas
What are Profile and User Settings?
Profile and User Settings let you control your personal information in Canvas, how you wish to be notified of activity in your courses, and give access to personal areas of Canvas that are not connected to any of your specific courses. You can access these settings by clicking your Account icon at the top of the Canvas Global Navigation Menu.
All users have these profile and user settings, regardless of whether they are Teachers, TAs, Students or hold other course roles.
You can use your profile and user settings to:
- View and edit your user settings, such as language preference, and time zone
- View or add a profile picture, biography and custom links
- Set Notifications for activity within your courses
- Upload personal Files and view files that others have shared with you
- Create and manage ePortfolios of your course work
- Download your assignment submissions from current and previous courses
- Configure Canvas to integrate with your Box account, OMET dashboard, and NameCoach name recording.
