Nancy has been the Director of the Office of Measurement and Evaluation of Teaching (OMET), since 2008. OMET is responsible for the administration of the end of term Student Opinion of Teaching Surveys and for the Midterm Course Surveys. Her additional roles at the Teaching Center are facilitator for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning seminar, program evaluator for the Biology Course Incubator project, and a member of the Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness Initiative team. Her areas of interest are research design, program evaluation, and survey design, and her passion is data analysis. She has programmed using SPSS, SAS, and R.
Nancy earned a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from Slippery Rock University and a M.A. degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Educational Research Methodology. She has also completed many doctoral level courses in measurement, research design, and statistics.
