Lex Drozd is a Senior Instructional Designer for the Pitt Online team at the University Center for Teaching and Learning, collaborating with faculty to plan and develop effective online graduate and professional programs and courses, as well as continuing education programs for career-focused learners. Prior to joining the Teaching Center, Lex spent ten years working to improve the alignment, consistency and delivery of innovative open and large-scale online courses and training at the Open Learning Initiative at Carnegie Mellon University and the Graduate School of Public Health, at Pitt. Research interests include the use of visual organizers, active presentation of material to increase learner engagement, and effective assessment of online learning.
