Joy Hart
Senior Program Coordinator

As the Senior Program Coordinator, Joy is responsible for facilitating effective management of faculty development programs – working closely with Teaching Center colleagues, staff in the Office of the Provost and faculty. A California transplant, Joy worked many years in corporate real estate before moving to Pittsburgh. Joy began her administrative career at Pitt in 2011 working at the Office of Measurement and Evaluation of Teaching (OMET) before transitioning to then CIDDE now the Teaching Center as the executive assistant to the director. After spending almost two years as Senior Administrative Coordinator for a new division (Aging Institute) in the Department of Medicine – Pitt School of Medicine, she recently returned to the Teaching Center in her current role. Joy earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Pittsburgh and has previously held positions as a therapist/counselor at Gateway Rehab and Southwood Psychiatric Hospital.
