As the director for Academic Support Services, Erik Arroyo oversees multiple units within the Teaching Center at the University of Pittsburgh:
Outreach, which is responsible for the department’s brand management, including all marketing and communication campaigns, web presence, public relations, partnership management, etc.; testing services offered at the University of Pittsburgh Testing Center in the Cathedral of Learning, which oversees proctored examinations for Pitt students and external clients in a supervised testing environment; and the Office of Measurement and Evaluation of Teaching [OMET], which manages pre, mid, and end-of-term teaching surveys for the University.
Erik also serves as a grants committee member for the National College Testing Association [NCTA] and has presented at the association’s national convention three times. He graduated from Pitt in 2003 and earned his MBA in Marketing Operations from South University in 2008. He is also president of the Baldwin-Whitehall Educational Foundation, the non-profit arm of the Baldwin-Whitehall School District, whose mission is to support innovation in excellence in the BW school system.
