Buck manages the daily operations of the Event Support team within the Teaching Center’s Classroom & Event Services group, providing a wide range of professional audio-visual services to the university community.
Buck has a degree in Video and Music Production from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, an Associates Degree from the Community College of Allegheny College and Pittsburgh Filmmakers specializing in television production, and graduated from the Creative and Performing Arts High School in Pittsburgh.
He started working professionally in the audio-visual field in 1989 at ProCom Systems as an A/V Technician for large corporate events, conferences, and touring as a Roadie Technician for national and local music groups; Video Production Director at Campos Market Research; A/V Manager for a major hotel conference center at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center; A/V Installation Technician for SMARTSolution Technologies travelling nationwide; and A/V Manager at Pittsburgh Mercy Health System and their corporate affiliates in the northeast region. Buck joined the University of Pittsburgh Special Events staff as a Senior A/V Technician in 2008.
