COVID-19 Pandemic: University’s Response
In March 2020, the University of Pittsburgh pivoted to remote teaching, learning, and working in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This shift had major ramifications on University operations, many changes of which are still in place today. While the resources in this Teaching Center staff manual are still applicable and relevant to your work, there may be alternative processes in place for your unit as a result of a remote work environment. Your supervisor and teammates can help you with any questions you may have. Below is a list of resources related to the University’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

- Interim Flexible Work Arrangements Policy
Additionally, there are sections within this manual marked with a double asterisk (**). This marker indicates that there may have been significant changes to the traditional protocols in place as a result of the University’s response to the pandemic. Make sure that for these specific sections, you discuss with your supervisor any special alternatives in place for your unit (if any).
