How to Add Materials From the Canvas Commons to Your Course
Log into the Pitt Canvas site using your University of Pittsburgh credentials.
Click on the Commons icon in the global menu on the left.
Canvas Commons displays content from all around the world, but there are some University featured items at the top.
If you do not already see the content you are looking for, you may use the Filter tool to see only University of Pittsburgh material.
Click on the Filter button in the upper right. A fly-out menu will appear. (1) Scroll to the bottom, and (2) click on University of Pittsburgh to filter the view.
Click outside of the fly-out filter menu to close it.
Search the items listed in Commons. When you find what you want, click on the blue title of the item. Click on the Import/Download button.
Select the course where you would like to import the material, and click the Import into course button.
