Lorin Grieve, PharmD, will facilitate a Game Design workshop co-sponsored by the School of Pharmacy and the Teaching Center on Thursday, November 8. In this workshop, Dr. Grieve will explain the process of iterative game design with a focus on application to learning environments. Have you been thinking about updating a course to be more inclusive, to incorporate greater diversity, or to promote social justice through your discipline? These are important goals, and yet finding the time and resources to make these changes can be challenging. That’s why the Extended Diversity Experience was created. If you would like to work with a cohort of collaborative faculty, instructional designers, and librarians to enrich, enhance, or reinvent a course, consider applying for the Extended Diversity Experience. Applications must be submitted by Monday, June 25. There are 12 seats available.
Our newest addition to the Media Creation Lab is a Lightboard that allows you to face forward while writing — giving students a clear view of your written words, speaking, and gesturing. Instead of writing on the board with your back to the camera, you can face forward and not lose momentum as you diagram concepts or illustrations during your lecture. You are welcome to experiment with the Lightboard and any other technology in the Media Creation Lab and you can reserve time using our online form.
