The Pittsburgh Council on Higher Education [PCHE] is pleased to announce an open call for proposals focusing on teaching and learning or educational development for the 2019 Pittsburgh Regional Faculty Symposium on Monday, March 11, 2019. Organized by PCHE and hosted by the University of Pittsburgh, the symposium is a day-long conference for faculty, teaching assistants, and faculty support specialists from colleges and universities in Pennsylvania and its adjacent states.
Dr. Jeffrey Aziz, lecturer in Pitt’s Department of English, Film, and Media Studies Department, and Jake Dechant, assistant professor in the Pitt School of Nursing, had an idea for a medical humanities podcast but needed technical support to make it happen. They found a solution at our Media Creation Lab, where our team helped them produce a professional-sounding podcast entitled Remains to Be Seen. Learn more in our latest edition of Headlines!
The first Teaching Partners meeting of the fall term is Monday, September 16, from noon to 1:30 p.m., in the University Club Gold Room. Lunch will be served. There is limited capacity so please RSVP if you plan to attend. Teaching Partners are the first to know about new resources and services available through the Teaching Center, and meet twice per term to engage in peer-to-peer learning and knowledge sharing. Even if you can’t attend the meeting, you can still join the Teaching Partners community. If you have any questions, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
