The Office of the Provost, in conjunction with the University Center for Teaching and Learning, awarded six faculty with the Provost's Award for Diversity in the Curriculum last week. The award recognizes the efforts of faculty to integrate diversity and inclusion into their courses and curriculum. You can read more about each award winner and their accomplishments in articles published in University Times and @Pitt.
We'd like to thank Dr. Randall Bass, vice provost for Education and professor of English at Georgetown University, for delivering the keynote address at today’s 2019 Assessment and Teaching Conference. Fantastic turnout for this year’s event and a great day of progress for assessment, teaching and learning!
Earlier this term, Pitt celebrated the 50th anniversary of an event that would forever change the African-American student experience at the University of Pittsburgh. In our latest episode of TC60, we showcase “Say It Loud: The Black Action Society, The Computer Center Takeover, and Transformation at the University of Pittsburgh” event. The Teaching Center's Academic Digital Media team chronicled the event, which is the feature of this month's installment of TC60.
