News of the passing of Dr. Bernard Fisher, Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a pioneer in the field of breast cancer research, provided a moment of reflection about his legacy and the connection that the University Center for Teaching and Learning had with his incredible work at Pitt. We are pleased to offer a new workshop from the Center for Mentoring, entitled Mentoring Faculty: A Facilitated Panel, on Thursday, October 25, starting at noon. This session will address topics such as the role mentoring plays in the career trajectory of faculty, how to be a better mentor, and how faculty can find the right mentors at the right time. Professor Anne Robertson from the Swanson School of Engineering will facilitate the session, hosted in 211 David Lawrence Hall.
