Come outside and enjoy the spring weather with us for this “Walkshop” on April 2 from 10-11:30 a.m. With a special focus on the dynamics of an urban campus rich with resources and influences from around the world, this walking workshop is designed to help instructors consider opportunities to incorporate the physical space of our campus into their learning activities. Attendees will explore what Oakland has to offer and become familiarized with key pedagogical steps to foster successful experiential learning outcomes. Please register online to attend.
The Teaching Center's Academic Digital Media team has been collaborating with faculty from the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences on the production of "Flash Classes,” a hyper-abbreviated lecture series on different topics. In the latest edition Dr. Sophia Choukas-Bradley, assistant professor in the Department of Psychology, presents a flash class entitled, "Adolescence in 90 seconds."
