Registration Open: Inclusive Teaching and Why It Matters
The Provost’s Diversity Institute for Faculty Development begins May 10, with a panel discussion titled Inclusive Teaching and Why It Matters. This panel features faculty members from across the University who have been recognized for their efforts in integrating diversity and inclusion concepts into their course and curriculum. Featured faculty will share their experiences supporting diversity in the classroom and the impact of receiving the award. This institute was created to offer Pitt faculty the opportunity to increase awareness about diversity and develop skills needed to teach in a diverse, multicultural environment. Events will run through June 4. We will post additional events on our website as they are announced.

The Provost’s Diversity Institute for Faculty Development begins May 10, and events will run through June 4. This institute was created to offer Pitt faculty the opportunity to increase awareness about diversity and develop skills needed to teach in a diverse, multicultural environment. Creating Assessment of Teaching Plans
New resources are available for schools and departments to utilize when creating assessment of teaching plans. An assessment of teaching plan template, research, videos on best practices for using OMET teaching surveys, and an FAQ are now available in our assessment of teaching resources.
