Every instructor has experienced challenges with designing an engaging, rigorous assignment. Whatever your assignment challenge, we’ll help you “hack” it in our workshop on August 15. You will learn about some common assignment challenges and collaborate and receive feedback from colleagues in order to design, redesign, or improve your assignment. Visit the University Calendar to learn more and register.
Join us for a lively presentation about how marginalized people can be a catalyst for social change, and can also serve as powerful teaching agents in our own times and classrooms, facilitated by Dr. Marcus Rediker, Department of History and Senior Research Fellow at the Collège d’études mondiales in Paris.
We’d like to congratulate Charline Rowland (teaching consultant), Mark Vehec (web developer), Robin Albright (senior instructional designer), and Tahirah Walker (manager, Teaching Support) for earning the Teaching Center’s 2019 Advancing Educational Excellence award! The annual honor is a peer-driven award that recognizes Teaching Center staff members who exemplify the values of the center, demonstrate a positive attitude and commitment to responsibilities, and make above-and-beyond contributions to the University.
