The Teaching Center will begin offering a series of remote office hours starting Sunday, March 15. Sessions will be structured as either open topic or broad topic Q&A discussions and delivered remotely via Zoom. Teaching consultants and educational technologists will be available to answer instructors’ questions on a first-come, first-served basis. Teaching Surveys from the Office of Measurement and Evaluation of Teaching (OMET) are open until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 19. Faculty are encouraged to communicate with students about the importance of feedback, especially as courses have transitioned to a remote format. Four questions have been added to all surveys to gather feedback on modifications to the spring 2020 term. Please visit OMET's web page for more information.
The Open Lab at Hillman is a new makerspace for virtual reality exploration, 3D printing demonstrations, and project consultation in Hillman Library’s Digital Scholarship Commons. Along with the Teaching Center’s Open Lab in Alumni Hall, this location is a campus resource to explore emerging technologies and exploratory learning through making.
