Our newest addition to the Media Creation Lab is a Lightboard that allows you to face forward while writing — giving students a clear view of your written words, speaking, and gesturing. Instead of writing on the board with your back to the camera, you can face forward and not lose momentum as you diagram concepts or illustrations during your lecture. You are welcome to experiment with the Lightboard and any other technology in the Media Creation Lab and you can reserve time using our online form.
Pitt student Maddie McCrea took her interest in prosthetics to the Open Lab, where she worked with staff on 3D printing technology to create a prosthetic hand for an individual in need. Learn more about Maddie's life-changing project, as well as the resources and support available in the Open Lab, in our latest edition of Headlines.
