The Office of the Provost, in conjunction with the University Center for Teaching and Learning, awarded six faculty with the Provost's Award for Diversity in the Curriculum last week. The award recognizes the efforts of faculty to integrate diversity and inclusion into their courses and curriculum. You can read more about each award winner and their accomplishments in articles published in University Times and @Pitt.
Teaching Surveys from the Office of Measurement and Evaluation of Teaching (OMET) are open until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 19. Faculty are encouraged to communicate with students about the importance of feedback, especially as courses have transitioned to a remote format. Four questions have been added to all surveys to gather feedback on modifications to the spring 2020 term. Please visit OMET's web page for more information.
Join our staff for a Researchers’ Writing Group every Friday in Alumni Hall. This voluntary writing program aims to provide support and accountability to faculty working on research. The program is open to all faculty and provides a space for individuals to meet and write together for a weekly three-hour block of time. The hope is that the writing groups will carve out time in researchers’ busy schedules for writing. For more information, contact Dr. Josie Rush at email@example.com or by phone at 412-624-7213.
