The Provost’s Award for Diversity in the Curriculum formally recognizes the efforts of faculty to integrate diversity and inclusion into their courses and curriculum. Sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the University Center for Teaching and Learning, the award recognizes excellence in areas such as updated curriculum, expanded cultural awareness, development of teaching methods that are especially inclusive and interactive, consciously created learning environments that are welcoming and inclusive, and other changes that positively impact aspects of diversity and inclusion in the classroom.
The Provost’s Diversity Institute for Faculty Development will take place April 29 - June 12, and offers University of Pittsburgh faculty the opportunity to increase awareness about diversity and develop skills needed to teach in a diverse, multicultural environment. Visit the Provost's Diversity Institute for Faculty Development web page for more information and to register for all or individual sessions.
Blackboard will be unavailable on Thursday, May 2, during an extended maintenance period which starts at 12:01 a.m. Thursday and ends at 11:59 p.m. If work is completed ahead of schedule, the system will be returned to service and an announcement will be posted on the Information Technology Department's website. This maintenance is necessary to maintain the stability and reliability of Blackboard. During this system update, instructors will not be able to synchronize new materials between Blackboard and Panopto, but you can still log in to Panopto to view video content.
