The Office of the Provost and the University Center for Teaching and Learning would like to congratulate the recipients of the 2019 Provost’s Award for Diversity in the Curriculum. The award formally recognizes faculty’s efforts to integrate diversity and inclusion concepts into their course and curriculum. The Provost’s Award for Diversity in the Curriculum recognizes faculty who have taught a modified course or revised curricula to strengthen diversity and inclusion, resulting in changes of impact. Any full-time or part-time Pitt faculty member who has participated in diversity initiatives at the University may apply for this award. Please encourage faculty who have embraced inclusive teaching practices to submit an application. The guidelines for the award and the application form are available on the Provost's Award for Diversity in the Curriculum web page, and the deadline for applications is October 18, 2019.
The 2019 Assessment and Teaching Conference will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019. Faculty can submit proposals for poster sessions that focus on any aspect of teaching, learning, and/or assessment in their teaching practice.
