Save the Date: Diversity in the Curriculum Awards, Jan. 18
All University community members are invited to attend the fifth annual Provost’s Award for Diversity in the Curriculum recognition ceremony on Jan. 18 at 4 p.m. This year's event will be virtual. We will celebrate our faculty members’ efforts to integrate diversity in the curriculum and create inclusive learning environments. We are delighted to have Dr. Yolanda Covington-Ward as the keynote for this year's event. Please save the date—registration information will be distributed next week.

Teaching Center Update for Dec. 31, 2021

Spring Term to Start Fully Remote for First Two and a Half Weeks
In accordance with the Provost’s announcement on Dec. 30, all classes will be fully remote for the first two and a half weeks of the semester. Classes will begin remotely on Jan. 10, 2022. Exceptions to this rule may be made by approval of the dean for programs and classes that need to meet in person. Classes will take place fully in person beginning on Jan. 27, 2022.

Large Enrollment Faculty Learning Community
In preparation for spring term Large Enrollment Faculty Learning Community (FLC) programs, we’d love to hear about the topics that interest you the most. If you are a faculty member who will teach a large enrollment course during the spring 2022 term, please complete our FLC survey to help us adapt our program to your needs. The Teaching Center will host three FLC sessions on Feb. 8-9, March 15-16, and April 12-13, from noon-1 p.m. Registration information will be available on our workshops and events page soon.
