The University of Pittsburgh has joined nine other top public universities across the country to form SEISMIC, a collaboration focused on supporting and promoting equity and inclusion in introductory STEM courses though sharing best practices and collaborative research. To provide new opportunities for instructors to join this successful and critical effort, Pitt is hosting a Week of SEISMIC Jan. 16-19, 2023, jointly sponsored by the Teaching Center, dBSERC, and LRDC. The program on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 16) is via Zoom, but the other days involve hybrid plenaries just before lunch and in-person discussion/planning sessions. Lunch will be provided after the three plenary hybrid talks (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), and food will also be available at the Happy Hour on the Tuesday afternoon.

For those coming in person to the lunches, please register online so that we can gauge how much food to order. The deadline to register for Pitt Week of SEISMIC is Jan. 12.
