The Teaching Center has developed resources to support recommendations made by the Provost’s Advisory Council on Instructional Excellence (ACIE) to improve and expand assessment of teaching. In addition to the existing library of resources on assessment of teaching and student opinion of teaching surveys, faculty can now find:

• An Assessment of Teaching plan template which provides information and guidance on elements for academic units to include in an assessment of teaching plan.
• A concise summary of resources and research on using and interpreting teaching surveys, which lists resources on interpreting student opinion of teaching results, improving response rates, mitigating bias, and lists of references related to student opinion of teaching surveys and how student bias affects results.
