Fall term is underway here at Pitt, and the University Center for Teaching and Learning welcomed more than 300 new faculty and teaching assistants to campus in late August. Sponsored by the Office of the Provost, the Teaching Center has hosted New Faculty and New Teaching Assistant Orientations for more than 20 years.
The latest edition of our TC60 video blog series spotlights Pitt Online’s Massive Open Online Course, “Gender and Sexuality: Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace.” The course addresses how identity shapes our experiences in the work environment. The MOOC was selected by Coursera to be part of its Education for Social Impact campaign. The MOOC, co-taught by Dr. Julie Beaulieu of Pitt and Dr. Susan Marine of Merrimack College, has now reached an audience of nearly 2,000 online learners since April.
