UPDATE: Applications for the Early Adopter Fall 2019 opportunity have closed. There will be another similar opportunity for Spring 2020, and information will be posted as a new update to this page when it is available. Thank you for your interest.
While the full university will be transitioning to Canvas for the summer 2020 (2207) term, there will be an opportunity for teaching with Canvas in the fall 2019 (2201) term for a limited number of faculty and courses. Because space is limited, interest does not guarantee access. The Teaching Center and CSSD are working throughout the summer to create an environment to closely replicate the final one, but it may be somewhat scaled back to ensure a smooth experience. Canvas support and implementation resources will be available to support early access participants throughout this transition, as will members of the Teaching Center’s LMS Consulting team and the CSSD Help Desk. While every effort will be made to migrate any existing content from Blackboard to Canvas, teaching with Canvas in the fall will require faculty to invest time validating content and learning the new system. Training opportunities will be offered, as will direct 1-on-1 support.
If you are interested in teaching with Canvas in the fall, please click the button below to complete a brief survey. Because space is limited, please make every effort to be realistic about the time you will be able to dedicate to making the transition over the summer. We will be sharing updates related to Canvas at the Teaching Center’s Canvas page, as well as via our weekly newsletter which you can sign up for on our site.
