While the full university won’t switch to Canvas until Summer 2020, the Teaching Center and Pitt Information Technology have been hard at work setting up the system so that it is ready for faculty and students participating in the Early Adopter Fall 2019 cohort and beyond. The university has been on Blackboard as our enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) for around 20 years, so there is a lot of work that needs to happen behind the scenes before Pitt’s version of Canvas is ready.
