Technology-enhanced Learning Survey

Almost 700 faculty from across Pitt responded to last fall’s survey about technology-enhanced learning. They described a wide array of teaching approaches and many envisioned additional opportunities for using technology to support their teaching goals, including increased student engagement. We are currently reviewing the data to better understand faculty needs and inform the new initiatives being developed by the Center for Teaching and Learning. Detailed results will be shared by mid Fall 2017.

Student feedback on teaching is useful, but it’s better to assess teaching effectiveness through a variety of methods. In the latest edition of our TC60 video blog series, you can learn how The University Center for Teaching and Learning can help you and your department design a holistic strategy that looks at teaching through multiple lenses. Some possibilities include classroom observations, course reviews, peer assessments, teaching inventories or cohorts, focus groups, and instructional diagnosis.
