Pitt Renews SARA Participation

The University of Pittsburgh renewed its participation in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA) this month. As a SARA-participating institution, Pitt is required to adhere to a national standard for offering interstate postsecondary distance education. As a result, Pitt can enroll students into its online programs from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and the Cayman Islands without additional or individual authorizations. Transforming the Teaching & Learning Environment Virtual Conference

The University Center for Teaching and Learning has purchased an institutional license to attend the 9th annual Transforming the Teaching & Learning Environment virtual conference hosted by the University of Idaho’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning and Distance and Extended Education. Over the course of ten weekdays starting February 12, 2018, there will be 60 one-hour live and interactive sessions on topics ranging from gamification to mobile learning to flipped classroom to emerging technologies and more.
